This month we were delighted to be involved in the PiXL Main Meeting in Westminster. Our Presentation: 3 Steps to Creating a High Performance Culture in Your School or Academy.
A great culture within a school or academy is always intentional. It includes everyone, and delivers the best possible learner outcomes. Such a culture promotes innovation, consistency, high-performance and continuous improvement and only works when everyone is fully on-board and committed.
But how do you build, embed and sustain a high-performance culture? Sycol’s founder, Dr Ioan Rees, hosted two sessions at the Main Meeting to help answer that question!
Including a case study from Sycol practitioners at Hope Academy, the presentation shared three key steps to achieving a high-performance culture, direct from the Sycol Programme used by hundreds of schools and academies across the UK to transform outcomes.
The sessions were well attended and we were delighted to have the opportunity to share ideas and best practice with around 370 delegates on the day.
Our colleagues from Hope Academy also had the chance to speak with delegates about how their work with Sycol on culture – and by including everyone in system design following the creation of a strong and new Vision, Mission and Values – had helped moved their academy out of special measures.
It was great to see such a high degree of professionalism and engagement. The huge interest in intentional culture design and its centrality to school excellence confirms this is something high on the agenda of schools and academies. Thank you to all who attended our sessions and for the great positive feedback.
If you’d like Dr Ioan Rees to present a similar session at your conference, federation or academy meeting please get in touch.
